Introduction of Artificial Neural Network

Before starting to study of neural network we have to understand about the working of human brain.

Suppose I keep two fruits in front of you and I tell you to identify the fruits.
How can you Identify???????
Now I am showing you two fruits an ORANGE which is at your left side and APPLE in you right side 

Oooh!!! What am I telling you??? You think I am gone crazy.....I am telling ORANGE  is in left side and APPLE is in right side... However, it is not like that...

How are you identify APPLE is in left side and ORANGE is in right side??
